Trust Administration

Trust administration is an easier, less time consuming way to pass assets compared to probating the assets.  Many clients opt for a trust based estate plan to avoid the time consuming, costly, hassle of going through the Michigan probate court.

However, a trustee still has certain duties and obligations in following the terms of the trust.  For example, typically, a trustee must use a certain level of care and diligence when performing their duties as trustee, avoid commingling trust funds, invest trust assets in a prudent manner, and avoid conflicts between their role as trustee and any trust beneficiaries.

Failure to uphold your duties as trustee could lead to you being held personally liable.

We assist clients and trustees in trust administration so that they comply with their duties.
