John T. Carter is a Partner with Witzke Berry Carter & Wander, PLLC in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Mr. Carter leads the firm’s Business Law and Commercial Transactions group and he has over 18 years of experience working with Michigan based organizations that service the health care, technology and professional services sectors.

Mr. Carter is a member of the Business Law and Un-incorporated Sections of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association. He is also a counselor and noted speaker at various Michigan small business and entrepreneurial organizations such as: the “Michigan Small Business Development and Technology Centers”, “Walsh College Leadership Center” and “Michigan Business Brokers Association”. His programs include: “Selecting the Best Legal Entity”, “Creating Mutually Beneficial Agreements” and “How to Buy and Sell a Business in Michigan”.

Mr. Carter is also a Co-Founder of the “Michigan Business Law Center”. The Center is a new collaboration of Michigan based attorneys dedicated to providing updated legal information and resources to local Michigan entrepreneurs.

Mr. Carter earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Economy from Michigan State University and a J.D. from the University of Miami, FL. He was born and raised in southeastern Michigan and resides there today with his wife and two daughters.
